About the photo and the film:

I used a Dremel and glue to modify 120 spools to allow me to put 35mm film in my Hasselblad 500cm. I then took expired Kodak GC 400 (I think from around 2006) and shot it at 100 ISO on Sunday, 17 March. I had the film developed locally. I “scanned” the film with my Nikon D750 and Nikon Micro 55mm 3.5 and processed the color in Adobe Lightroom with the amazing Negative Lab Pro plugin. This is another photo in one of the UVA (University of Virginia) gardens. I like how the gate is open in this image, inviting one to see what is beyond, pulling the viewer inwards. I feel like the focal point of the gate makes one start to ignore the sprockets, which tend to be a strong focal point for me with this kind of photography (35mm in a 120 camera).
