Snowboarding in Squaw Valley

About the photo and the film:
I happened to be snowboarding on Expired Film Day, so I went with one of my least obtrusive and least valuable point and shoots, an Olympus Stylus 120 zoom. My choice of film was a roll of Walgreens Studio 35 that I found unused at one of my favorite stores: Urban Ore, in Berkeley, CA. It’s basically a wonderfully huge warehouse full of items diverted from the landfill and offered for resale. Someone’s trash turned out to be my treasure with this one, so this little roll seemed perfectly suited for Expired Film Day. Given the lack of packaging, I have no idea on the expiration date, but it seems to have been made in Germany by Agfa, so I figure it’s at least 10+ years old, so I overexposed by one stop to deal with the age/snow. Overall, it came out better than I expected for a found roll of mystery film. 🙂
