About the photo and the film:
Late afternoon street scene in Munich. The film used was made in a country that doesn’t exist anymore: ORWO NP 20, made in East Germany and expired in August 1991. One thing it has lost over the years is its dynamic range – but this shot is fun to look at anyway. It’s an ISO 80 film, so you can’t really overexpose it if you want to keep this pretty slow film usable. The film shows strong grain in low light situations and medium to low contrast in general. It was shot with a Minolta X-700 and a 50 mm f/1.7 lens (at f/4 if I recall correctly). Love to see the looks of the guys at my lab when I’m bringing them another roll of this old cheddar.
